Never have I had a floof as floofy as Charlotte. Never have I had a dog the color of a lightly toasted marshmallow, with fur in beautiful shades of gold and russet. But for every strand of hair that Charlotte sheds, she picks something up in return. She is the canine equivalent of a white t-shirt.

Here’s a rundown of everything I’ve found in Charlotte’s fur:
- Dirt
- Sand
- Horse poop
- Pine needles
- Pine sap
- Pine cones
- Bugs (not fleas, just unfortunate creepy crawlies that hitched a ride and lost their way in the golden fur forest)
- Errant dog treat that bounced off her head and landed on her butt
- Sticks
- An entire lake
- Fur that is not hers
- Dead leaves
- Swamp Thing
- Shredded cheese
- Aggie
